About the Event
As a special summer session, in lieu of a 2 day Childbirth & Early Parenting Class, Message is offering a special one day Childbirth Workshops on Saturday, July 29th and Saturday, August 12th, from 10:30 to 16:30 on both days. Nicola Thompson, a practicing doula, Message member and volunteer, will be conducting the session.
This special session will cover normal labour and birth, the holistic stages of labour, importance of protecting oxytocin in the birthing space, typical hospital routines, pros and cons of common interventions, comfort measures, the golden hour and more. This one day workshop is for you and your partner, but a friend or family member can attend if your partner is not able to attend.
