About the Event
Parenting teenagers brings its own unique set of challenges. Our children are no longer totally dependent on us. They can drink alcohol, smoke, swear and roll their eyes at our ideas. They can push boundaries and our buttons, yet they can also be funny, charming and very interesting to talk to. There are a lot of clichés and stereotypes that concern teenagers and while navigating this parental stage can be challenging, it doesn't have to be.

Message will be hosting free (for members) monthly discussions around parenting teens. We have the pleasure of inviting Dr. Beth Dawson to facilitate these talks. Beth is a Certified Teen Coach and educator and has been working with young people for over 15 years. She has a PhD in Education Sciences and a Masters in Sociolinguistics, specialising in bilingualism and language acquisition. She creates and teaches learning programmes for students at the Sorbonne and Ecole W.
In her private coaching practice, she is passionate about helping young people and their parents reach their potential (whatever that means for them) and creating a culture of positive mental health in the home and beyond. She is also a mum of teens and a step-mum of a young adult. She firmly believes A Happy Teen is a Happy Home.
