How to feed the new mother: Nourishment & Nutrition for the postpartum and breastfeeding mom
Time & Location
14 Feb, 12:00 – 13:00
About the Event
We learn about how to feed a new baby but how do we learn to feed a new Mother? Stephanie Rink is going to tell us how.
After giving birth, new Mothers are still in acute recovery and nutrition for this postpartum period is vital. New Moms need nourishment that allows for recovery, stable energy, supporting rest, and optimizing breastmilk production (for those who choose to use breastmilk). All of these things can make all the difference.
This talk will inform you about the nutrients that are important for postpartum recovery and breastfeeding, discuss how to support breast milk production through nutrition, and bust myths about postpartum nutrition. You will walk away with concrete ideas to improve meals and snacks so they are nourishing for YOU, the new mama.
