About the Event
The Spanish Language Group at Message is hosting a Dia de Muertos celebration for all Message families.
The Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition in which we gather to remember and celebrate our loved ones who have passed away. It is not a sad occasion; it is a joyous celebration of life and death. This day is like a family reunion where we eat, drink and celebrate life.
Socialize among friends and join the activities: Traditional ‘Altar de Muertos’: Participate in building a community ‘ofrenda’ to honor those we have lost. It is an excellent opportunity to share memories with our children.
Cookie Decorating: Learn how to professionally decorate a cookie to look like a colorful skull (beautiful skulls are a big part of this holiday). Pan de Muertos
Degustación: Taste the iconic ‘Pan de Muerto’, a sweet and fluffy bread. We have a French-Mexican bakery…
