About the Event
The Social Dilemma is one of 2020's most impactful documentaries and tees up timely conversations about technology and its impact on not only our mental health, but also our democracy and discrimination. The companies that connected the world and how we consume information did so at a cost. Those of us who rely on these platforms are unknowingly complicit in trading our freedom for followers and our social cohesion for instant connection.
By providing dramatized examples of how persuasive technology is working on us all, and by pointing to the prevalence of thought bubbles, rabbit holes, and conspiracy theories, the film has already provoked important conversations amongst people who have seen the film.
Join Elizabeth Milovidov, Digital Parenting Coach and internet safety expert, for a moderated discussion during which we will examine the cause of the dilemma, recognize its harms, and share views on our unique roles in both perpetuating and solving the problem.
Hosted by INSPIRELLE, in collaboration with AAWE and Message Paris.
We highly recommend watching the film The Social Dilemma on Netflix before you participate in this discussion.
