About the Event

 What are the benefits of learning a second language as a child? What are the most common difficulties that children experience in acquiring both  French and English simultaneously? What options are available to  parents bringing up bilingual children to help them master both  languages?  ‍‍‍‍‍‍

About the speakers: 

Derek Ferguson, Director  of Roaming Schoolhouse, providing after school activities, classes and  camps to English speaking children in France since 2006.  ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍ 

Charles Brasart teaches English linguistics at the Université de Nantes. He has  lived in the US, the UK and Canada and taught English to French  speakers for over ten years. His research focuses on bilingualism and  code-switching.  ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍
