About the Event
You've undoubtedly been trying to find ways to teach your families about anti-racism, but did you know there are many other types of hate in our childrens' digital environment? Anti-semitism, anti-Muslim, anti-foreigner, homophobia, and more - the list is never-ending. From viral social media memes and shock-jock, influential YouTubers; to online video games and shared jokes in WhatsApp groups: hate is unfortunately thriving online.
Join Elizabeth Milovidov as she shows you the kinds of coded language being used to share online hate, and where your children may be exposed to this type of inappropriate content. Elizabeth will then propose an interactive strategy building session where parents can share best practices and support to create an anti-racist / anti-hate online environment for their digital families. She will also share leading resources and games for children related to anti-racism and anti-hate online.
Elizabeth Milovidov, PhD, J.D., is a consultant on digital parenting and child online protection. To read more about Elizabeth and her services please visit her website at www.digitalparentingcoach.com or contact her at elizabeth@digitalparentingcoach.com
