About the Event

Can you smell the cookies yet?

If you have ever bought cookies in Paris you know how hard/impossible it is to buy a good chocolate chip cookie. Yes, you can find recipes online but are you willing to pass up the chance to make a truly amazing cookie?  This short event is an opportunity to learn the techniques to make the perfect chocolate chip cookie with French ingredients (with ingredients you can buy at your corner store).

Anyone parent can join- no kids required! This event is entertaining for children and informative for adults and the perfect family activity on a Saturday morning.  

Not a member of Message? Not a problem! If you are a parent you can use the one time coupon code " COOKIES! " to attend for free and see what Message events are about. Hurry and tell your friends, only a few coupon codes remain!

This event will be led by the young French-American chefs Sacha and Cara KODJOVI, who were accepted into Ferrandi,  the top culinary school in France. They are based in Suresnes and offer private baking courses (and also babysit!). We are so lucky to have them guide us through their popular double chocolate chip cookie recipe, which is easier than you think. The list of ingredients is below and will also be sent to you via email  when you RSVP:

INGREDIENTS :

1 cup cold BUTTER cut into small cubes (225 grams)

1 cup BROWN SUGAR (sucre cassonade) (128 grams)

1/2 WHITE SUGAR (64 grams)

2 EGGS 

1/2 cup dark COCOA (cacao en poudre non-sucré) (64 grams)

2 and 1/2 cups FLOUR (ideally T65) (320 grams)

1 teaspoon CORNSTARCH (maizena),

3/4 teaspoon BAKING SODA (bicarbonate de soudre) 

1/2 teaspoon SALT

1 and 1/3 cup semisweet CHOCOLATE CHIPS or 2 bars of milk chocolate such as Lindt (chopped up) 

2 handfulls of chopped walnuts (optional)

TOOLS :

1 large bowl,

1 spatula or mixing tool

The cookies will be cooked in an oven at 210°C.
